The 20/40 Support group is a branch of the Calgary Ostomy Society. The group consists of men and women between the ages of 18 & 40ish years. We provide mutual support through regular informal meetings held in members' homes.
The group shares information, connects ostomates with similar experiences, and provides a safe and comfortable environment to laugh and cry. They engage in discussions of issues and concerns, share stories and insight and acquire friendships through fun.
New ostomates are welcome to join other ostomates - colostomy, ileostomy or urostomy and gain friendships, share the experience of others and gain valuable insight into how one lives with and copes with having an ostomy. The group is peer led and has a flexible format.
